Terms of Trading
Fees: Prices for any of our services are available on request. We do our best to provide accurate estimates in advance of treatment. However, requirement for medical treatment is often difficult to predict in advance and enforced changes from the provisional treatment plan do occur. We will always do our best to contact you before carrying out any treatment differing from that agreed in advance. We are always happy to provide fully itemised statements detailing costs and to explain anything which is not clear. Please ask.
Payment: In order to keep prices down we do not offer credit facilities. Accounts are due for settlement at the time of treatment or on collection of medicines. Apart from exceptional circumstances, further services will not be provided to clients with outstanding accounts of greater than ten days unless specific arrangements have been made with one of the directors or practice managers. If for any reason you are unable to pay then please contact us as soon as possible and ask to discuss the matter with one of the directors or practice managers. We reserve the right to charge administration fees on overdue accounts.
Prescriptions: Prescriptions are available from this practice. You may obtain prescription-only medicines from your veterinary surgeon or ask for a prescription and obtain these medicines from another vet or pharmacy. Your vet may prescribe prescription-only medicines only for animals under their care. A prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an in-patient or immediate treatment is necessary. You will be informed, on request, of the price of any medicine which may be dispensed for your animal. The frequency with which a patient under treatment will need to be examined by a vet before medications can be dispensed depends on the nature of the condition and type of treatment. We are always happy to advise you about your pet's requirement. Please do ask. Our standard charge for a veterinary examination and consultation is £24.34 inc VAT (correct at 16/8/2011).
