Stephen’s latest video shows you how simple it can be to clip your dog or cat’s claws.
Clipping Your Dog or Cat’s Claws – Video Information
Starting off with a quick anatomy lesson, Stephen shows what to look for when clipping your pet’s claws. The main thing to keep an eye on is the quick, which is the flesh inside the claw. This is much simpler with light coloured claws. If your dog has darker claws, you may be best taking a small piece of claw off at a time. With one of his own cats, Stephen then goes onto show how to safely trim the claws.
Don’t forget that, if you are worried about doing this, or would like us to show you how, you can always give your local Yorkshire Vets surgery a call and book in for a claw clipping.
If you notice anything unusual with your pet’s claws or feet when clipping it’s claws, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. Our staff are always happy to help, and we operate a 24 hour emergency service at our main hospital. You can find the number for each surgery on the relevant surgery page. To access these, select from the surgeries menu at the top of the page.
