CORONAVIRUS INFORMATION updated 22nd March 2020
Following the latest advice from the Government and our professional bodies, in order to minimise risks to the community, our staff and to our customers, we have taken the decision to restrict attendance by clients at the surgerys.
If you need veterinary advice, please contact the surgery and we will be happy to arrange a telephone consultation with one of our vets. They will then assess whether it is essential to bring your pet to the surgery or to give advice and prescribe medication.
If you do need to come to the practice please telephone reception when you arrive, WAIT OUTSIDE and we will arrange to bring any medications out to you or to bring your pet into the practice as required.
We are committed to providing the best service we can to you and your pets and we know that we can rely on your cooperation at this difficult time.
Thank you for your patience.
As one of the leading vets in Leeds and Bradford, we take pride in the exceptional level of care, compassion and service provided for you and your pets.
Yorkshire Vets is an independent veterinary group, owned and run by practising local veterinary surgeons. We offer a number of local first opinion surgeries which work hard to serve their local communities. These surgeries offer all of the day-to-day facilities and services that you would expect from a local veterinarian. They are also staffed by some of the best surgeons, nurses and support staff in the region. Services and facilities at these first opinion surgeries include; health examinations, vaccinations, neutering, routine surgery, dental surgery and more. For a more comprehensive guide on what each surgery can offer, please see our services page. We also offer a Pet Health Club for dogs, cats and rabbits. This service provides all of the preventative care your pet needs throughout the year for a simple monthly payment.
Hospital Treatment and 24 Hour Care
Sometimes your pet may require more specialist treatment and facilities that are available within a smaller practice. Because of this, we operate a centralised RCVS accredited Veterinary Hospital facility. Our Thornbury Hospital provides the cutting edge facilities and services you would expect from a modern veterinary hospital while maintaining the friendly and approachable level of service that you have come to expect from our practice. The hospital, on the Leeds and Bradford border, also provides a dedicated 24-hour emergency service. Because of this, you can be sure that your pet can receive the best treatment, at any time it is needed, from the vets that know them best. If you need to see our emergency vet, please ring ahead to ensure that we are fully prepared for your arrival.
To find out more information about each of our surgeries, including their consulting hours, you can either click on the links below or from the menu at the top of the page. To book an appointment, please give your local surgery a call, who will be happy to help.
